Kerala vs Uttar Pradesh: Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth’s 5-wicket haul, Robin Uthappa and Sanju Samson led Kerala to the victory against Uttar Pradesh by three wickets in Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Sreesanth took a 5-wicket haul sparing 65 runs as Kerala bowled out Uttar Pradesh for 283.
Meanwhile, Robin Uthappa (81 off 55) and Sachin Baby (76 off 83) smashed magnificent half-centuries in Kerala vs Uttar Pradesh that laid the foundation for a chase that went deep.
Sreesanth was playing his first full domestic season for Kerala since 2013 following his ban after the IPL spot-fixing episode.
He dismissed opener Abhishek Sharma and then returned in death overs to dismiss skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohsin Khan, Akshdeep Nath, and Shivam Sharma.
He played 20-over Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy that preceded the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He now has seven wickets in two games.
This was Sreesanth’s second five-wicket haul in List A cricket as the first one was in his ODI when he bagged 6 for 55 against England in 2006.
While chasing, Kerala lost Vishnu Vinod early but a 104-run stand between Robin Uthappa and Sanju Samson kept them on track.
